Pull - A - Part

FUN

My son and I recently experienced our first visit to a Pull -A - Part Junkyard on 4-19-09.  Actually we visited two of them.  Cleveland, Ohio is about 160 miles North of where I live.  the have two yards, one on the East side and one on the West side of Cleveland.  The West side one is older but the East side one had more of what we needed.

On this particular mission I was after '95 to '99 Explorer parts.  I wanted a complete dash and steering column set up from one to put in one of my '53s.

The weather was great, about 60 degrees and sunny.  My son and I had a great time.  I am looking forward to going back again and I am sure it will somehow become a traditional part of his visits.  below are a few pictures from out little expedition.

UPDATE !!!

About two weeks ago on September 9, '09 we visited the newly opened Pull-A-Part yard on the Southeast side of Canton, Ohio.  This location is as good or better than the two locations in the Cleveland area.  So far as I am concerned you just cant beat their service and prices.

Be sure to visit their website at www.PullaPart.com .  You will be gald you did.

A typical row in the "FORD" section of the Cleveland East    Pull - A - Part yard.  Notice the Walker  between the rows.

This is the Explorer Sport we harvested the dash and steering column from.

The two pictures above are of my son Sean out in the parking lot as we were loading up to go home.
