· If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're "exotic, different."

· Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential American story.

· If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

· Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

· Graduate from Harvard Law School and you are unstable.

· Attend 5 different small colleges in six years before graduating, you're well grounded.

· If you become the President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years at the University of Chicago as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

· If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become the countries second highest ranking executive and next in line behind a man in his eighth decade.

· If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.

· If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and then left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a true Christian.

· If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

· If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you're very responsible.

· If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner-city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America's.

· If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI Conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

Last night was the first Presidential debate. McCain actually made it after saying he wanted to postpone it due to his flimsy excuse about being needed in the Senate for the financial crisis at hand. That was BS because they are nowhere ready for a vote.

McCain was like a broken record as he constantly repeated the phrase, "Senator Obama doesn't understand...". It was as if he knew nothing else to say. If that was not annoying enough, he has adopted the stupid looking smart assed smirk much like his hero George Dubya wears every time he thinks he is clever. It was almost nauseating.

The truth is that McCain is the one who doesn't understand a damn thing about what America wants. He doesn't understand that we are sick of his useless damn war the is senselessly killing our service men and women. He doesn't understand that we have had enough of his tax reform policies that really are no change at all. Instead, they are only modifications to the current trend of awarding the rich and taxing the poor, which is business as usual for the Republican party. He doesn't understand that Americans don't want another conflict with Russia. We are sick and tired of the military adventurism. He doesn't understand that we are the most hated country in the world because of our policies of being the big bully on the planet. Basically, McCain is a Twentieth Century man in a Twenty-first Century world. He doesn't understand that there are intelligent people out here that can see through his not so clever attempts to pull the political wool over our eyes. He doesn't understand that we are not impressed by his travelogue of I went here and I went there. Obviously he didn't get the point when he went there. It really just amounted to jet hopping around the world on our money. And last but not least, he doesn't understand that that his tired and completely obvious tactics of taking things out of context and twisting them around to suit his pathetic agenda is only showing his ignorance to those who art intelligent to see what is really going on.

It is truly hard to understand why a man that once had enjoyed honor and the respect of his countrymen has lowered himself to such a despicable level in pursuit of an office he is ill equipped for and has no need for. John, the best thing you could do is loose graciously if you really care about us.
